Epic Creative Group, LLC is the data controller responsible for your personal information as described in this Privacy Policy.

2. What Data We Collect

Purchase information: When you buy PodEmbed, your name and email address are collected by LemonSqueezy (our payment processor and Merchant of Record) to deliver your license key and provide purchase support. Epic Creative Group, LLC receives your email and name from LemonSqueezy for license management and product updates.

License validation: When the PodEmbed player loads on a website, it sends the license key to our server to validate it. No personally identifiable information about the website’s visitors is collected during this process.

No analytics or tracking: PodEmbed does not include any analytics, tracking pixels, or third-party tracking scripts. We do not track your website visitors.

No cookies: PodEmbed does not set any cookies.

3. localStorage Usage

The PodEmbed player uses the browser’s localStorage API to save playback position (so listeners can resume where they left off) and playback speed preferences.

This data is stored entirely in the visitor’s browser and is never transmitted to any server. Visitors can clear this data at any time through their browser settings.

4. AI Features — Data Processing

If you subscribe to the AI tier, the following additional data processing occurs:

Transcription: Podcast episode audio URLs (which are publicly available via RSS feeds) are sent to Deepgram’s API for transcription. The audio content is processed by Deepgram and is subject to their data handling policies.
Summarization: Episode transcripts are sent to Anthropic’s Claude API to generate summaries. No personal data is included in these requests — only the transcript text.
Storage: Transcripts and summaries are stored securely on our infrastructure. Epic Creative Group, LLC retains this data to provide the AI features of the Service. You may request deletion at any time.

Both Deepgram and Anthropic process data under their respective terms of service and privacy policies, which include contractual obligations regarding data handling and retention.

5. Third-Party Services

PodEmbed integrates with the following third-party services:

LemonSqueezy — Handles checkout, billing, tax collection, and subscription management as Merchant of Record. Their privacy practices apply to payment data. LemonSqueezy Privacy Policy
Cloudflare — PodEmbed is hosted on Cloudflare infrastructure. Cloudflare’s standard terms and privacy policy apply to the hosting and delivery of the Service. Cloudflare Privacy Policy
Deepgram (AI tier only) — Podcast episode audio is sent to Deepgram’s API for transcription. This audio is typically publicly available via RSS feeds. Deepgram Privacy Policy
Anthropic (AI tier only) — Episode transcripts are sent to Anthropic’s Claude API to generate summaries. No personal data is included in these requests. Anthropic Privacy Policy

6. RSS Feed Data

PodEmbed reads publicly available podcast RSS feeds. Our server fetches the feed on behalf of the player to handle cross-origin requests. Feed data is cached briefly (up to 1 hour) for performance. No permanent storage of feed content occurs.

7. Data Retention

Purchase records (email, license key) are retained as long as the license is active. Upon request, we will delete your purchase records within 30 days.
AI transcripts and summaries are stored securely on our infrastructure for as long as your license is active. You may request deletion at any time.
localStorage data is retained by the visitor’s browser until they clear it
AI processing: Audio sent to Deepgram and text sent to Anthropic for processing are subject to those services’ respective data retention policies. Epic Creative Group, LLC does not independently retain this data.

8. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your purchase data by contacting support@tellstudios.com. We will respond to your request within 30 days.

AI transcripts and summaries stored on our infrastructure can be deleted upon request by contacting support@tellstudios.com.

Website visitors can clear localStorage data through their browser settings at any time.

9. Children’s Privacy

PodEmbed is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Material changes will be communicated via email to license holders.
