For podcasters whose best answers are buried in old episodes

Your podcast stops being something people play and becomes something people use.

PodEmbed is a player for your website that answers questions. A listener asks, it finds the exact moment in your show, and they hear the answer in your voice. It works for you too. The episode with that one guest, or the story you told once, found in seconds instead of an afternoon of scrubbing.

Right now, your best moments are buried in hour-long episodes.

Someone lands on your episode page. They came for one thing: the pricing conversation, the book your guest mentioned, the part where you changed your mind. Your player hands them a play button and a scrub bar. So they guess, drag, give up, and open Spotify.

You did the work to get them to your site. The embed sent them somewhere else.

That's most players. Generic colors, a scrub bar, a monthly fee, and a link to somebody else's app.

Most listeners want one moment from an episode, not the whole thing. Don't make them guess where it is.

Let them ask.

Type a question about any episode. PodEmbed answers in a sentence, pulls the exact quote, and gives a timestamp that jumps straight to the moment. They get the answer in your voice, on your site.

Where do they talk about pricing?

Around 19:06. And you said the price point is like 7 k?

This is a real episode. Ask it something.

It looks like your site, not like an embed.

Most embeds look like 2009. This one takes its colors from your artwork automatically, or you set your own. Three layouts, so you can pick what fits the page: a full player with the episode list, a compact card, or a sticky bar that follows the reader.

For the curious, this is the whole install.

I built this for my own show.

Five hundred episodes over ten years, three other podcasts along the way, and I never found a player I liked. They looked like 2009, they charged every month forever, and they sent my listeners somewhere else to keep listening.

So I built the one I wanted. It's been on my own episode pages for almost a year.

There have been so many times I've wanted to point someone to a previous episode. I knew the guest, or I knew the topic, but finding the actual episode meant digging. Now I punch the name into the player and it pulls up every episode that person was on. It has saved me so much time.

Now it can be on yours.

Common questions.

Can I start with Core and add Ask AI later?
Yes, anytime. Start with the Core player and add Ask AI whenever you're ready. Once it's on, the ask box, transcripts, and summaries appear in your player automatically, with no code changes.
How does billing work for Ask AI?
Core is $49 once. Ask AI is $12 a month or $99 a year on top of that, and you can cancel anytime. At checkout, the $49 for Core appears as a setup fee on the Ask AI subscription, so the first charge is $61 monthly or $148 annual.
What happens if I cancel Ask AI?
You keep the Core player. You own it for life. Cancelling turns off the ask box, transcripts, and summaries in your player.
How does PodEmbed work?
PodEmbed is fully hosted, so there's nothing to install or deploy. After you purchase, you get a license key. Use the configurator to set your colors and options, then paste one snippet on your website. That's it.
What exactly can Ask AI do?
Ask AI lets your listeners type a question about any episode, like “Where do they talk about pricing?” or “What was that book they mentioned?”, and get an instant, accurate answer drawn from that episode's transcript. Every answer comes with a clickable timestamp that jumps straight to the moment in the audio. Because it works from the full transcript, it understands the whole conversation, not just the title or description.
How accurate is the transcription?
Very accurate. Transcription is powered by Deepgram's Nova-3 model with punctuation, speaker identification, and smart formatting. It's excellent for clear English-language audio. Heavy accents, crosstalk, or low-quality recordings may introduce occasional errors. These transcripts are what power Ask AI, episode summaries, and in-player search.
Will it work with my podcast host?
Yes. PodEmbed works with any podcast that has an RSS feed: Libsyn, Buzzsprout, Anchor, Podbean, Transistor, Simplecast, Apple Podcasts, and any other host.
What websites does it work on?
Any website that supports custom HTML: WordPress, Squarespace, Webflow, Wix, Ghost, Shopify, static sites, or your own custom-built site. If you can paste one snippet, PodEmbed works.
Do I need technical skills to set it up?
Not at all. You need to be able to paste one snippet into your website. If you've ever added a YouTube or Google Analytics embed, you can use PodEmbed. The configurator generates everything for you.
How does the automatic color detection work?
When you enter your RSS feed URL, PodEmbed analyzes your podcast artwork and extracts a brand-appropriate accent color and background color automatically. You can always override them with your own hex values.
What are chapters?
If your podcast episodes include chapter markers (in Podlove Simple Chapters or Podcasting 2.0 format), PodEmbed displays them as clickable timestamps so listeners can jump to specific sections of an episode.
Is there a limit on episodes or listeners?
No. PodEmbed loads every episode from your RSS feed with no listener limits or bandwidth restrictions. Play counts, downloads, and analytics stay with your podcast host. PodEmbed doesn't interfere.
Do I get future updates?
Yes. All future updates and new features are included with your purchase. Updates happen automatically, with no action needed on your end.
Can you transcribe my whole back catalog?
Your 20 most recent episodes are transcribed when you start, and every new episode is transcribed automatically while you're subscribed. To transcribe older episodes, you can unlock your back catalog with a one-time purchase based on its size: up to 50 episodes for $49, up to 100 for $99, up to 200 for $199. For anything larger, get in touch for a custom quote. That's about $1 per episode, a fraction of what standalone transcription services charge, and once transcribed, those episodes are searchable and Ask-AI-ready forever.
